Please read these Terms of Service carefully before utilizing the telephone dispatch services or accessing the online resources of BrokenSpring Direct LLC (brokengaragespring.us). By requesting emergency dispatch or scheduling on-site service, you agree to be bound by the terms detailed herein.
1. Service Scope & On-Site Diagnostics
BrokenSpring Direct LLC operates a specialized nationwide network of mobile overhead door mechanics focused on counterbalance torsion spring replacement, extension spring repair, high-cycle spring conversions, lift cable replacement, and emergency door securing. Upon arrival at your property, our technician will perform an exhaustive 25-point counterbalance safety inspection and provide a written estimate specifying parts, cycle ratings, and labor fees before commencing mechanical disassembly.
2. Counterbalance Torsion Dynamics & DIY Hazards
Overhead garage door springs operate under extreme mechanical torque, storing between 300 and 500 foot-pounds of kinetic energy. Homeowners agree not to tamper with, adjust, or attempt DIY disassembly of winding cones, center bearing brackets, or bottom cable fixtures while awaiting technician arrival. BrokenSpring Direct LLC is not liable for secondary opener damage, bent tracks, or structural issues caused by property owners operating doors with snapped springs prior to technician arrival.
3. Parts and Labor Warranty Terms & Cycle Ratings
All high-cycle oil-tempered replacement springs installed by our certified technicians are backed by our comprehensive warranty program:
- Standard 10,000-Cycle Builder Springs: Covered by a comprehensive 3-Year Limited Warranty against metallurgical defect and premature fracture.
- Premium 25,000 to 50,000-Cycle Springs: Covered by an extended 5-Year to Lifetime Limited Warranty option against coil fracture under normal residential cycling.
- Hardware Components (Cables, Drums, Bearings): Covered by a 1-Year mechanical warranty against failure or operational seizure.
- Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage resulting from vehicular collision with door panels, severe meteorological windstorms, structural building foundation settling, unauthorized third-party tampering, or failure to perform basic annual silicone track lubrication.
4. Matched-Pair Sister Spring Replacement Policy
For double-car doors equipped with dual torsion springs, BrokenSpring Direct LLC adheres to the universal engineering standard of matched-pair replacement. When one spring fractures, its sister spring has experienced the exact same mechanical fatigue cycles and will almost certainly fail within 30 days. If a customer insists on replacing only a single spring on a dual-spring setup against technician recommendation, warranty coverage on the remaining sister spring is explicitly voided.
5. Pre-Existing Site Conditions & Structural Limitations
Our technicians service the overhead counterbalance mechanism. If an overhead door panel has suffered horizontal creasing, vertical track bowing, or header rot due to past physical impacts, the technician will note these preexisting conditions on the initial diagnostic estimate. BrokenSpring Direct LLC is not responsible for preexisting panel fatigue or motor drive gear wear caused by operating an unbalanced door with a broken spring prior to our arrival.
6. Environmental Scrap Recycling & Metal Disposal
As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, fractured high-carbon steel springs, frayed aircraft cables, and worn cast-aluminum cable drums removed from your property are collected and transported to certified industrial metallurgical recycling facilities, preventing hazardous sharp scrap metal from entering municipal landfills.
7. Billing, Payment and Cancellation
Payment is due upon completion of service and customer satisfaction walk-through. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, company checks, and cash. You may cancel a dispatch request at any time prior to technician arrival on site without incurring cancellation penalties by calling (855) 922-5561.
8. Force Majeure & Severe Meteorological Disclaimers
BrokenSpring Direct LLC shall not be held liable for delayed dispatch response times resulting from acts of God, extreme meteorological events (such as hurricanes, tornado touchdowns, blizzards, sub-zero deep freezes inducing widespread highway icing, or localized flash flooding), power outages, civil disturbances, or state-declared transit emergencies.
9. Severability, Entire Agreement & Choice of Law
These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between the property owner and BrokenSpring Direct LLC regarding on-site counterbalance spring repairs. If any provision of these terms is adjudicated invalid or unenforceable under state law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full legal force and effect. These terms are governed by the statutory laws of the state where mechanical services are physically performed.
10. ASTM A229 Metallurgical Standards & Manufacturer Tolerances
All torsion springs supplied and installed by BrokenSpring Direct LLC comply strictly with ASTM A229 oil-tempered high-tensile carbon steel manufacturing specifications. Homeowners acknowledge that slight surface oxidation from atmospheric moisture is normal for high-carbon steel and does not impair metallurgical tensile elasticity. We recommend annual application of non-detergent silicone spray lubricant to minimize inter-coil friction.

11. Emergency Vehicle Entrapment Hold Harmless & Safe Staging
When an emergency dispatch involves a trapped vehicle inside a residential garage, property owners agree to maintain an exclusion zone of at least ten (10) feet away from the overhead door opening. Disengaging an overhead door under broken spring load is inherently unpredictable due to kinetic deadweight forces. Property owners agree to hold certified technicians harmless for unavoidable cosmetic floor scuffs or weatherstrip contact resulting from maneuvering deadweight doors to free trapped vehicles safely.
12. Independent Certified Dispatch Network Operations
BrokenSpring Direct LLC operates as a centralized master contractor dispatch and logistical coordinating network. All field mechanics dispatched to your property are independent, licensed, and insured overhead door contractors vetted for technical competency with DASMA wire gauge engineering and ASTM A229 oil-tempered hardware. Hardware warranties are backed by our national network warranty registry.
